ENDOTOXIN DETECTION SYSTEM

• The toxinometer can incorporate 3 test methods: Gel Clots, KTA (Kinetic Turbidimetric Assay) and KCA (Kinetic Chromogenic Assay)

• The toxinometer can provide results for gel clots and KTA using the same sample.

• The toxinometer can be used to analyze multiple-type reagents as well as single-type reagents, depending on sample size.

• The risk of contamination is much lower than when using a microplate.

• The toxinometer can start a new test while another test is running; therefore, if a customer needs to retest a sample, they can begin testing immediately.

• The toxinometer allows to archive the standard curves.

TOXINOMETER® PRINCIPLE OF MEASUREMENT

The LAL/endotoxin reaction rate depends on the concentration of endotoxin present in the sample or standard. The higher the amount of endotoxin, the faster the LAL/endotoxin mixture reacts, but the lower the amount of endotoxin, the slower the LAL/endotoxin mixture reacts. The time required for the LAL/endotoxin mixture to react is the Reaction Time. The ET-6000 uses a Reaction Time of recognized standards for endotoxin to calculate endotoxin concentrations in samples based on the measured Reaction Time. In turbidimetric tests, the ET-6000 measures the rate of turbidity to calculate Reaction Times. In chromogenic assays, the ET-6000 measures the increase in color intensity to calculate Reaction Times.
